| A look at the Area Around Le Roc | Things to do in Dordogne and Lot | Availability and Prices |
A 'village style' farmhouse built about 200 years ago but now with its own garden and private swimming pool. It is set in the beautiful Dordogne Valley about half a mile from the banks of the River Dordogne in South West France, mid-way between the mediaeval city of Sarlat and Rocamadour, and provides a holiday that would suit all the family. Whilst the house in in the Dordogne Valley it is actually in the Department of Lot. The Department of Dordogne itself is about 2 km downstream and the Department of Correze is about 10km to the north.
Restaurants, prehistoric caves, picturesque villages, glorious countryside, an abundance of wild life and a host of sporting opportunities including canoeing, swimming, fishing, horse riding, golf, walking and cycling make this one of the most attractive parts of France for your holiday.

There is much to do in the Dordogne Valley. Click on The Area to discover that the countryside around Le Roc is ideal for walking, riding or just relaxing. Click on Leisure for some ideas on specific trips. The countryside is beautiful but the green lushness indicates that as well as sunshine there can be rain. If it should it rain, however, there are many attractions including colourful markets, dramatic perched villages such as Rocamadour, historic houses and castles, museums and spectacular caves and grottos in the area.
Although you can
spend a lot of time
sightseeing it is important to be able to relax and enjoy yourself
without having to leave your holiday home. Click on House
and Garden to view details of the house, including
a plan showing the layout, and the garden including the private
swimming pool and areas where adults can relax and children play.
