A 'village style' farmhouse built
about 200 years ago but now with its own garden and private swimming
pool. It
is set in the beautiful Dordogne Valley about half a mile from the
banks of the
River Dordogne in South West France, mid-way between the mediaeval city
of
Sarlat and Rocamadour, and provides a holiday that would suit all the
family.
Whilst the house in in the Dordogne Valley it is actually in the
Department of
Lot. The Department of Dordogne itself is about 2 km downstream and the
Department of Correze is about 10 km to the north.
Restaurants, prehistoric caves,
picturesque villages, glorious countryside, an abundance of wild life
and a
host of sporting opportunities including canoeing, swimming, fishing,
horse
riding, golf, walking and cycling make this one of the most attractive
parts of
France for your holiday.
The farmhouse is
available for rental
and, whilst it has accommodation for eight or more people, its layout
on two
floors makes it suitable for smaller groups or where two families are
holidaying together. Click on Availability for details of
availability and
prices.

There is much to do in the
Dordogne Valley. Click on The Area
to discover that
the countryside around Le Roc is ideal for walking, riding or just
relaxing.
Click on Leisure
for some ideas on
specific trips. The countryside is beautiful but the green lushness
indicates
that as well as sunshine there can be rain. If it should it rain,
however,
there are many attractions including colourful markets, dramatic
perched
villages such as Rocamadour, historic houses and castles, museums
and spectacular caves and grottoes in the area.
Although you can spend a lot of
time sightseeing it is important to be able to relax and enjoy yourself
without
having to leave your holiday home. Click on House and Garden
to view
details of the house, including a plan showing the layout, and the
garden
including the private swimming pool and areas where adults can relax
and
children play.
